Why Go to an In-Network Practice
Preferred Provider Organization, or PPO, plans have separate rates for services rendered by medical professionals explicitly within the insurance plan’s network and for those provided by doctors and dentists outside that network. Because most practices can file claims regardless of whether they are in-network, a patient could hypothetically go anywhere to get the dental care they need.
However, the pragmatic reality is that most patients will visit an in-network dental provider. The out-of-pocket costs of dental services provided within the network are much lower than those paid for treatments outside the plan.
Your In-Network Provider
As a result of the difference between in-network and out-of-network coverage, many patients feel that they have to move between providers when they change insurance plans to keep their care affordable. Just because you have to go to a new plan does not mean that you have to go to a new dentist; we can continue helping you from our convenient, affordable location. Our practice in Burlington is under contract with more PPO dental plans than many other practices in our area. This allows us to provide quality dental care to more families overall, regardless of circumstances like employer changes or switching to a new plan voluntarily.
The dental insurance plans we are in-network with include:
- Aetna PPO
- Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) of MA / UniCare
- Cigna PPO
- Delta Dental: Premium, EPO. PPO starting 2018
- Guardian PPO
- Bento Modern Dental Benefits
- Sunlife Financial
- Tricare (military)
- United Concordia
